Lake People G103-D-4 (Dante) Stereo Dante Headphone Amplifier

The Lake People G103-D-4 is a stereo headphone amplifier with Dante integration, designed for recording studios, live sound and broadcast audio. The G103-D-4 is based on Lake People’s G103 series of headphone amps, bringing Dante network connectivity to a compact, robust headphone amplifier.

Designed, developed and built in the Lake Constance region of Germany, Lake People put great emphasis on manufacturing devices that can perform at the level which audio professionals demand.

Highest Quality Audio
The G103-D-4 uses two high quality D/A to convert the four Dante audio channels into the analogue domain, offering the best possible audio performance. Unlike many other headphone amplifiers, the G103-D-4 can drive nearly all existing headphones thanks to internal jumpers which can increase gain by an additional +6 dB or +12 dB.

On the analogue output side, the G103-D-4 can output two individual stereo mixes, with independent volume controls for each output. Alongside standard ¼”(6.3mm) headphone jacks, the G103-D-4 also features 3.5mm output connections. All of the ports can be driven simultaneously, making it possible for four users to monitor from one unit.

Built to Last
The G103-D-4 is built from solid black anodized aluminium, including the front- and back panels, providing high mechanical stability and resistance against the roughest of conditions on the road. The outer case provides excellent electrical conductivity for optimum EMC characteristics, limiting against any unwanted electromagnetic interference.

Despite the compact dimensions, the G103-D-4 offers optimum flexibility and high power. Reliability even under rough or improper handling conditions has been another important goal of development. Thus, the unit is absolutely long-term short-circuit proof. In addition, the G103-D-4 is equipped with filters to prevent overload by inaudibly low and high frequencies. The G103-D-4 is also versatile in terms of placement, with a variety of mounting options available to suit a range of applications.

Power to the G103-D-4 is provided via USB wall plug adapter with both USB-B and USB-C connections provided (cable not included). Crucially, the G103-D-4 can be powered over ethernet, streamlining both audio transfer and power into one ethernet cable when connected to a PoE-capable switch or device.
